Issue

In some workflows/transformations, the checkbox:

“Use batch update for inserts”

in the Table Output step is disabled (greyed out), and users are unable to tick or untick the option.

Root Cause

The issue occurs when the workflow/transformation option:

“Make workflow database transactional”

is enabled.

When this setting is enabled, the batch insert option in the Table Output step is automatically disabled.

Resolution

Follow the below steps to enable the checkbox again:

1. Open the workflow/transformation.
2. Go to:
   • Workflow/Transformation Properties
   • Misc Tab
3. Locate the option:
   • Make workflow database transactional
4. Uncheck/disable this option.
5. Save the workflow/transformation.
6. Reopen the Table Output step.

After disabling the transactional workflow option, the checkbox:

“Use batch update for inserts”

becomes editable again.
